    Meeting Aim and Approaches
The HOPS brings together the most senior officials responsible for statistics and planning from across the Pacific region. HOPS provides a regular institutional interface between national statistics offices (NSOs), national planning leads, donors, development partners and SPC to build and sustain the collaborative relationships that are crucial to the successful implementation of the Strategic

HOPs is responsible for promotion of evidence-based policy development, decision making and planning by Pacific Island governments and leaders to improve the lives of Pacific peoples, as well as for the effective and efficient coordination of resources to support the development and production of official statistics and development indicators in the region.
