SBS gears up for World Statistics Day 2025 Celebrations

    The Samoa Bureau of Statistics (SBS), in partnership with the Tautai (Samoa and Australia partnership) and UNDP, will lead Samoa’s celebration of World Statistics Day 2025 on 20 October with day of activities under the global theme:

    “Driving Change with Quality Statistics and Data for Everyone”

    Program highlights include:

    School quiz competition to engage young people in Statistics.

    Presentation of the new SBS Corporate Plan and the Review of the Statistics Strategy.

    Keynote address and official launch of the Samoa Poverty Report.

    Launch of the Multidimensional Poverty Report 2025.

    Remarks from key partners including the UN Resident Coordinator and the Australian High Commissioner.

    This celebration undescores the importance of quality data for policy, progresss and prosperity, while forstering collaboration between government, civil society, and international partners to support Samoa’s development journey.
