Samoa DHS-MICS 2025 Data Workshop Opens

Samoa DHS–MICS 2025 Data Workshop Opens

The Samoa Bureau of Statistics officially opened the Samoa Demographic and Health Survey–Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (DHS-MICS) 2025 Data Interpretation and Report Compilation (DIRC) Workshop, at Lava Hotel.

The 5-day workshop brings together officials from government ministries, stakeholders, agencies, and partner organizations to strengthen national capacity in analyzing, interpreting and validating the data collected during the DHS–MICS 2025 fieldwork. The outcomes of the workshop will contribute directly to the development of the final DHS–MICS 2025 report.

The DHS–MICS provides important information on the health, well-being, and living conditions of people in Samoa, including children, women, and households.
The workshop is implemented by the Samoa Bureau of Statistics with the support from UNICEF, UNFPA, the Australian Aid through Tautua Program and other development partners, who continue to play a key role in strengthening national data and survey capacity.

The workshop continues from Monday 9th until Friday 13th February, 2026. This reflects Samoa’s commitment to evidence-based planning and improving outcomes for all citizens.
