The training was officially opened by the Government Statistician, Afioga Leota Aliielua Salani, who emphasized the critical importance of accurate and reliable population data in guiding and informing Samoa’s national development priorities.
This training equips field officers and supervisors with the necessary skills to:

    • Update and verify GPS locations of households.
    • Update and verify enumeration area maps.
    • Effectively use digital data collection tools.
    • Uphold strict data quality and confidentiality standards.
    • Engage respectfully and professionally with communities.

The information collected will support informed national planning, evidence-based policy development, and improved service delivery across the country.
