Sustainability and Extension of the Data Portal

This week, we have the privilege of engaging in a workshop focused on the Sustainability and Extension of the Data Portal, a crucial initiative aimed at enhancing access to quality statistics for informed decision-making.

With the valuable support of our development partners—Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Pacific Community (SPC), and the United Nations ESCAP – this workshop provided a platform to strategize the long-term viability and expansion of our data portal.

We were also delighted to have our colleagues from the Fiji Bureau of Statistics (FBoS) onboard, reinforcing our shared commitment to regional data collaboration. Through discussions on governance, technical enhancements, and user accessibility, we explored ways to ensure that our data portal remains a sustainable and dynamic resource for policymakers, researchers, and the public.

This initiative is a step forward in strengthening statistical systems across the Pacific, aligning with our broader efforts to promote transparency, digital innovation, and evidence-based decision-making.

A big thank you to all partners and participants for their contributions.

We look forward to the launching of SAMOA STATS PORTAL.
