From 24–28 August 2026, the Census, Survey and Demography Team as well as the nominated staff from the Data Processing and ICT Division took part in training on Survey Solutions, delivered with the support of Pacific Community (SPC) trainers and survey design specialists, Mr Toga Raikoti and Mr Bertrand Buffiere.
The training focused on building the skills and knowledge needed to use Survey Solutions for census data collection and management. This is an important step in preparing SBS staff to support a smooth and successful census enumeration process.
The enumeration will take place from 13 October to 7 November 2026, with Census enumerators visiting households across Samoa to collect important information for national planning and development.
Fa’afetai tele to Mr Raikoti and Mr Buffiere for sharing their expertise and to all participating SBS staff for their commitment and active participation.
Together, we are preparing for a successful 2026 Population and Housing Census.
